As a volunteer you spend part of your time in youth work and you would also like to receive something in return. You would like to develop yourself in order to better carry out your task within volunteer work and thereby have more fun.
YMCA has developed a training offer for this that is challenging for every volunteer; whether you supervise a children’s club, are a camp staff or have a management position. We start from the qualities of the participants and take this as a starting point for further growth.
The various functions within youth work require different knowledge and skills. That is why an ongoing training line has been developed for all functions within youth work:
Basic training youth work;
for new club management and camp staff consisting of 2 half-day standard modules and 1 half-day choice modules
Youth work training;
for experienced club staff and camp staff consisting of 2 half-day standard modules and 1 half-day choice modules
Specialized training youth work;
for club management and camp staff and other volunteers consisting of different choice modules around social safety, behavior of children / teenagers, leadership styles or game
Specialized training Coordinate / to lead;
for main staff, mentors and youth elders consisting of 2 half-day standard modules and 1 half-day optional modules
Specialized training board work;
for workgroup members, boards and youth councils consisting of 2 half-day standard modules and 1 half-day choice modules
You can follow these training lines with all volunteers within your association or group, but of course you can also join the already planned meetings. You can find the dates of planned training sessions on www.ymcajeugdwerk.nl
